The AugienB is loaded with air purifying features. I was blown away by it's power. In addition to having a negative ioniser, it also features a UV light to sanitise dusts, moulds, pollens and spores. I have been using a Panasonic Plasmacluster in the bedroom for years, and I am very happy with it, but cannot source replacement filters that fit 100%. Recently I purchased both a Vornado and an AugienB. The Vornado is a good solid unit, but lacks many of the high tech features. On the plus, it's lowest fan speed is very quiet, but it doesn't autodetect bad air and increase it's output. The AugienB, according to the manual, does have this feature, but I couldn't seem to trigger it like my trusty Plasmacluster, which clears the room every time I do. The AugienB makes just too much noise, even on the least fan setting to stay in the bedroom. But, I am still going to use it, just in the lounge room. The only other thing I have to say about the AugienB is that when it's not on, it features a strong flashing red LED power button to remind you to turn it off at the wall. I have put the Plasmacluster back into the bedroom and am going to keep using it (and try to buy another one, secondhand if necessary). The Vornado I am going to drag out to use during bushfire season and on bad smog days. Maybe take it to work. Wanna sell me a Plasmacluster?Read full review

Bought this at $209 AU, and it was an absolute steal. I live in Canberra, Australia, and we have been suffering from bushfire ash and smoke and impossible conditions for an asthmatic like me. When this was first turned on it read 230 PM2.5 - an appalling level of ash micro-particles from the surrounding bushfires. Within 12 hours, in our large, open-plan home, with cathedral ceilings, it had reduced this to 30 PM2.5 or less. Our house no longer smells of smoke, despite ongoing bushfires. When left to run on 'Auto' this machine is whisper quiet. Sitting right next to it I noticed a 60cycle hum, but when tracked down this was another appliance! I could hear the background hum of a massage machine over the 'almost sound-less' AUGIEN-B. This is an excellent machine. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to breathe easy. I have been using air purifiers for over 15 years, as a constant drought means our house is continually covered in dust from prevailing westerly winds. This was our 4th air purifier purchase (different brands) and is by far the best. I have ordered a smaller AUGIEN B machine for the bedroom. Even at the higher prices now charged this is a brilliant machine. It means our 'bushfire bug-out' plan gives us more time - I can breathe indoors for longer, which means greater piece of mind in a tense and exhausting bushfire season.Read full review

We call it the tower of power. It's a big strong air purifier, when most of the other ones I've managed to buy online have been feeble things barely capable of emitting a zephyr. Does it work? It's one of those things, isn't it. You can't really ever be 100% sure if the air coming out is cleaner than the air going in. But it certainly *appears* to work. It inspires confidence with its appearance and noises, the packaging and design look professional, the filter looked serious, etc. etc. Have recommended to others.

Make sure you seal the majority of outside air! From the room you want to purify! Like your bedroom. Do a prep during the day! Vaccum you floors and bed. And doomer. Change sheets regularly. Leave it running at night! It's safe and you will sleep better. I do I don't get a stuffy nose anymore form my musky room with a bad mattress! That I need to replace!! It's full of dust mites for sure! It's no 1. Works so well. I don't have to use expensive antihistamines anymore!
