I have been taking photos for over 50 years, owned and worked with Leica M3/4 .Hasselblad 500C ,Mamiya RB67, and literally dozens of others, Pentax, Olympus, Canon ,Nikon to name a few. Had my own darkroom for 30 years plus until I went digital .(1997? ) Nikon 950 was my first digital cost $2500 for 4 megapixel , 4 times zoom For all round versatility and ease of use combined with good image quality this has been the best in my experience - at time of purchase I owned Nikon D800 .Olympus EM5, Sony A77, CanonG3 and several Fuji this is my primary camera now and can handle every task I throw at it - and does it well and easily - no need for bags of lenses, good battery life (carry one spare but not needed it yet) A bit heavier than some but well worth it for the results it gives - good closeups, portrait, landscape, night scenes, time lapse ($10 app) , high speed frames ( 250-500-1000fps) Only problem so far is Sony do not support latest MacOS for wireless transfer ,hopefully that will be rectified in time .Read full review
