This is a camera that goes for under $10 inc. shipping. As others like it, especially in that price range, the quality of its features (captured video, screen, build, lens) are bad. However, for people who have adjusted their expectations in advance and know what they're getting, it's actually a cute little gadget for that price. This may be a good deal for people who need a backup car camera in case a more expensive one that's used as a main fails. Also for people who want to get the feel of capturing their driving before buying an expensive camera. It may also be used as a security camera because of the motion detection feature that works surprisingly well. Within realistic expectations for the price, it is a nice product. :-)

At first I thought my car had a problem, the camera would not take power to charge in the car, I thought "Oh so my last one was not broken", but after having my car checked by a technician I was told the car was fine, there was nothing wrong with my USB ports or my cigaret lighter. Still, neither camera would work, I bought two. I found out by fiddling that if I hold the power cable just right, about halfway in and tilted towards the front that the camera will take power, charge and work. If you buy one or more of these cameras expect to have to hold the USB cable into place with a little hot-glue, the power port fault is most certainly a manufacturing fault and as the cameras are made by a machine, if I have two faulty ones there must be hundreds of faulty ones that all need to have their USB power cable held half in and tilted forwards to work. I have had a 100% failure rate with these cameras and a technicians bill when he checked my electrics. I am not impressed. My last camera lasted for three years before the sun killed it, these two never lasted once the battery lost their charge. Have caution if you buy one or more and be prepared to repair the camera before use.Read full review

This is not a 1080p HD video recorder, the maximum is only 640x480, very misleading advertisement. Even the product itself has the option of changing resolution to 1080p but does not actually record in that resolution. Motion sensor option doesnt even work. Generally this product is useless because its so blurry you cant even tell what you're looking at.

Cheap and does the job well. Don't expect High Quality 1080p video, but it's good enough for the price. Don't buy just any Micro card. Videos will not play back (75% to 95% of recorded video wont play back). I have had 99% play back success with Lexar 633X microSDHD-UHS-1 (16gb and 32gb work best). Scandisk and many others will not even warranty their cards in ANY DashCams. Its due to the high rate of Write and Re-Write capability and Loop recording deletions of a DashCam compared to (lets say) a phone or stills camera's video and photo/music requirements and demands. There is some great details on DashCam Cards referring to suitability on YouTube.
