the 4 Dummy Security cameras i recently purchased, look like the real thing. they are easy to install. just make sure that the solar panel on top of the unit gets enough sun to charge the batteries enough for the night time sessions. avoid, if you can, fixing them too close up under the rainwater guttering as this restricts the sunlight onto the solar panels. if you have to install them in a shaded place, they are fitted with a battery compartment which takes 2 x AAA size batteries for this purpose. If you wish to install real cameras, there are 2 options. they are either wifi or cable connected to the recording unit. wifi connected units are a lot more expensive, whereas the cable connected types are around the same price as the Dummy type, but you will have to get them installed by someone who knows how to do that, so the cost will probably escalate.Read full review

I am disappointed that the inbuilt battery doesn't allow it to blink at night. It needs a battery even tho' it is installed outside. Have yet to see if it charges the extra batterys or they need to be replaced frequently.
