The outside of the Samsung D900 is not very striking. If it is folded up, it is just a black mobile with quite a large screen. The back has a sort of rubber layer, which makes it feels really good in your hand. The rubber layer gives you a good grip on the phone and another advantage is if the D900 is on a slightly sloping surface, it will not roll off immediately. When you slide it open, you can see the number keys. They are a good size and easy to operate for people with big hands. As with every Samsung phone, the Samsung D900's menu is simple to operate. Even if this is your first Samsung, you will be able to find your way around this menu in no time. It is even easier if you have already had a Samsung phone as everything is practically in the same place. The Samsung D900 only differs by a slightly different structure in the menu or by a different colour of icon. Navigating through the menu is done with the function key on the front of the phone. You can confirm a function with the confirmation key in the middle of the function key. Like nearly every mobile phone nowadays, the Samsung SGH-D900 has a digital camera. The camera in the Samsung D900 has a resolution of 3.0 Megapixels. It has become a trend to have a MP3 player in your mobile phone. The Samsung SGH-D900 also has a MP3 player. It is handy that you can enlarge the external memory with a microSD card with greater storage capacity. The Samsung SGH-D900 is a nice phone with great results. This phone is amazing. You can really tell Samsung put alot of thought into everything about it. It's fast, easy to use, and every single feature it houses works better than the same feature on any phone I've ever owned. The 3 megapixel camera (with flash) is unbelievable. even shots taken at 70+mph on the highway turn out great! I love how they've protected the lens and flash inside the slide to prevent scratching. Video is incredibly smooth for a phone, too. Calls are crisp and clear. Reception is never a problem. Menus are quick and easy to work with. The screen is very easy to see in both night and day situations. The case and slide feel absolutely solid, and the phone itself is beautifully sleek and unincumbent. Connectivity with my laptop, printer, gps, etc via bluetooth is a breeze...i could seriously go on and on. If i had to pick a downside, I suppose I might mention that occasionally i hit the wrong keys when trying to text as fast as i'd like, due to the small area available inside the slide where the numbers are. I honestly can't say this is a big issue, though. The t9 is great, texting in general is very simplistic and fast. Same goes for internet and dialing capabilities...no problems at all and very fast. If you're thinking about getting this phone, go for it. I did alot of research before I bought, and I couldn't be happier that i jumped on it when i did. ~AngelRead full review
I bought this because I've had one since 2006 and prefer holidays to the latest phones on contract. It's easy to use all I need it for is texts and calls, I had my first one for 6 years and must have dropped it at least 30 times and the screen never smashed. It's a good basic phone I paid £11 for mine second hand and am very happy hope it lasts as long as the other one.
This phone is easy to transport because of it's lite weight and thin profile. I suggest buying a plastic protective cover to keep it new looking. The phone itself takes nice photos for a camera phone, has a lot of storage capacity with 2gb mini sd card slot, even listen to your favorite fm station on your phone, blue tooth technology. Only negative so far is the battery powers down quicker than my older model d900's. All in all a very nice high tech phone.
It is ideal size,slider keeps it clean an of course gives Instant access to keyboard All round ideal product. Ideal if you don't get the calls You used too.....
