Great design
Cameras I have owned before the 7D are a 500D and a 50D. There is no comparison. The others are good cameras but both have one or two things that could have been done better. I have had the 7D for a month now Ive completed 2 weddings and 4 commercial shoots, and I am very impressed. It is everything I'd hoped and some! There are some great features that are genuinely useful not least is the feature that allows the user to asign functions to various buttons. The most useful of these that I have found is assigning the depth of field preview button to switch between ONE SHOT and SERVO AF. It may sound trivial but I have found it extremely useful particularly in shooting weddings. If you want to use this camera on a tripod the built in level indicator is a big plus as well much easier than ... Cameras I have owned before the 7D are a 500D and a 50D. There is no comparison. Just a couple of examples that show the quality of Canon's design. Build quality is incredible I actually use a 24-70 Lseries lens on this body. The combination feels very balanced and solid I would recommend this camera without hesitation

An excellent DSLR from Canon. Worth the money.
I bought this camera to upgrade from a 450D and what an upgrade it it. The 18-135 lens is very good and can take extremely sharp snaps. Time is needed to get used to the functions but all is.very well laid out and user friendly. The radio control flash function for external flash is very useful but I had to suss this out for myself as the instruction manual wasn't correct for my Speedlite. Don't know why. Have had great results with sport as the frames per second is very fast. Haven't really had a chance to use the video yet. The extra MP is excellent for low light photography but my pc doesn't like the size of files as some of them are over 24 meg. Great picture quality and fast shooting speed. It is a little bit on the heavy side, as expected, but the picture quality makes it worth it!.

This camera is simply superb. Produces JPEG and RAW images of the highest quality, and shoots HD video in different frame rates.
