Great dependable companion
The FA is probably one of the 'secret' Nikons, the one, few have heard of , they all know the FM and the F but the FA is a very clever camera and often overlooked. It has modes, it has matrix metering and it's darn good too. Don't overlook this camera, no it's not fully manual, it needs batteries, but it has some real pro features that others do not. I really like the FA, I added one to my collection recently in black but I will not hunt for a good silver one too. Technologically advanced in its day, the FA is today an interesting collector's item, as well as a good workable camera. Some have said that the shutter is unreliable, but the camera I bought on eBay is fine. This particular camera will appear in a three-page review in Amateur Photographer magazine in July.
