    I love the Nikon D3

    A no nonesense relatively easy to use & solid as a rock camera. This model has had no recalls + updating the firmware is so straight forward. Quite weighty only well balanced at the same time. Battery life is good. Bayonet lens mount is backwards compatible so AI manual focus lenses can be used without any problems which means if you already have a Nikon manual focus camera & lenses you can use the lenses on this camera as 35mm film negatives are the same size as FX format or so near there's no practical difference.

    Ridiculous value for money

    Having converted to mirrorless a few years ago (mainly Fuji & now Panasonic FF) I did start to miss parts of the DSLR experience. I had held on to a 50mm lens from my old Nikon kit in case I bought another one day. I picked up my D3 with 170k shots for £350 - that's pocket camera money! Great condition pro-spec camera with plenty of life left in it. It won't go everywhere with me like my smaller mirrorless cameras but when you want to get out just to take pictures it's a really rewarding experience. Great build and handling, brilliant autofocus, really nice optical viewfinder, a battery that lasts for thousands of shots (what a refreshing change!), a portrait grip etc etc. This is an absolute steal if you are just into making pictures. It's 12MP but I'm constantly amazed at how many ...

    A very good buy.

    Having made my way up from a pair of D1X cameras (poor batteries and rear screen) to a D2X (much better batteries and rear screen) I’ve now acquired a D3 full frame body. Same batteries as D2X. At last! No 1.5 X crop. Put a 24-70mm f2.8 AFS ED G lens on and you get 24-70mm. Not 36-105mm. The quality of build is amazing. Very solid. Heavy, yes, but I no longer hawk around the world looking for sellable stories with two heavy bodies. Now retired, I can enjoy this amazing product. Some on eBay (where I got mine from a dealership with 6 months warranty) have shutter count of over 300,000 and still going strong. Mine has done 103,349. By contrast, my D2X has just over 20,000 shots under its belt. But it’s a good spare as I’ve spent a lot on glass. So it seems folks can buy very high ...

    Nikon D3

    Purchased my one with 22,350 clicks . I always wanted a tough camera body what could take anything on . Camera is built like a Russian Tank - no other camera is built like that to the date fact . Image quality is very good it specially if it’s paired with the Zeiss OTUS 85mm f1.4 ... images are stunning .. Yes in 2020 we are spoiled with camera choices but I choose one because in time when they built them they made them right and last for years not like everything today has a maximum of 1 year life span ... I love my Nikon D3 because of its simplicity ease of use and toughness ow yes battery life is like ... you will get tired before it will need recharging. Remember it’s not the camera it’s the person behind it . Worth of every penny
