    Solid 35mm film autofocus, massive features, a classic on the cheap.

    This is a quality design, with some very useful features if you are after a robust, auto focus 35mm file body. I already use Nikon lens with my Fuji S5 Pro, and grew feed up of changeing small expensive batteries in my Olympus OM2SP, now I just slap in 4 rechargable AA's and off to go (and they seem to last a long time). So it's convienient to share the lens between the 2 bodies, although the F4 should be used with full size (ie not DX format lens). Best thing is that there are no menu's at all, just buttons and dials, and there are a lot of them. So you will almost certainly need a user guide. Autofocus is fast and very precise, I'm using it with a f1.8D and a 28-105mm zoom, and they both work fine. So far only shot a couple of rolls (mainly Fuji 400ASA), and the images are nice, just ...

    The last of the beautiful SLRs

    A design classic. Completely different from my older FM2 and smaller rangefinders. Bought because I still use and develop film and I wanted a camera to use with zoom and wide-angle lenses. I like the knobs, as opposed to the dials and displays of modern cameras. It can be used with low shutter-speeds (1/30 handheld) because it is so solid. Big bright viewfinder. Easy to learn how to use.
